The Leamos Collection
The department of World Languages and Cultures is setting up a new Spanish library for novice readers in which students are the authors and illustrators. WLC and the Welch School of Art & Design are collaborating on this innovative project.
Dr. Victoria Rodrigo has created the Leamos Collection, and innovative reading project in which authors from the World Languages and Cultures and illustrators from the Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design work together. The purpose of this project is building a Spanish library for students with no reading experience in Spanish.

Dr. Victoria Rodrigo, is a Full Professor of Spanish Applied Linguistics from WLC. She hopes to continue the collaboration between undergraduate student/authors to write original stories based upon personal experiences, in collaboration with undergraduate art student/illustrators, who will provide graphic context to the stories with a fresh and unique touch of creativity.
