Foreign Language Association of Graduate Students
The Foreign Language Association of Graduate Students (FLAGS) is a Georgia State University student organization devoted to all graduate students enrolled in the Department of World Languages and Cultures (WLC). FLAGS’ goals are to: (1) develop programs of cultural, professional, and intellectual enrichment for WLC graduate students; (2) provide activities and services which assist students in their graduate and post-graduate work; (3) make available travel grants for WLC graduate students attending conferences or traveling on thesis-related research; (4) promote better communication among WLC graduate students, faculty and the administration; (5) strengthen the WLC community through various programming.

From Lithonia, GA. Her research interests include music in Second Language Acquisition and Black representation in Latin American film.

From Trinidad and Tobago. Her research interests include Afro-Hispanic Studies, Second Language Acquisition & Pedagogy, and Cultural Diversity.

Nicolas Deuson, French MA
Raised in West Africa. His research is focalized on language as it impacts the art song form mélodie.
